We place a lot of value on food served. Fresh cooked meals are served daily. Our child care food manager and staff ensure that all of the meals we serve meet the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The menu includes a wide selection of the foods, and fresh fruits and vegetables are included with every lunch. We offer a 100% nut-free menu, and other allergy-sensitive lunch options. We follow the Food Pyramid for Kids ensuring the children have a well-balanced diet through the day. We believe that balance, variety and moderation of many foods is the best way for children to get nutrition. Alphabetz is committed to enhancing family-food partnerships. To promote healthy eating habits, we engage children in fun activities, lesson plans and games. We also have a school garden which helps both parents and kids hands on learning experience of real healthy food and good nutrition. This also helps the kids to understand about environmental stewardship. Also, the children tend to be less picky when they learn to grow the food themselves.
